Martin Sieghart: was born in Vienna, where he received his formative musical education: the violoncello, piano, organ and conducting. In 1990 he was named chief conductor of the Stuttgart chamber orchestra and led the ensemble until 1995, as successor of Karl Münchingers once again to an esteemed international reputation. In 1992, Martin Sieghart began leading the Bruckner Orchestra Linz as well as the Linz´s opera as their chief conductor for the following eight years. Under his creative leadership they developed to a distinguished international operating orchestra with numerous recordings, among others, Mozart´s "The abduction from the Seraglio" and several Bruckner-symphonies. Between 2002 and 2006 he was creative chief and intendant of the opera festival Mozart in Reinsberg, and since 2003 chief conductor of the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra. As a sign of the highest appreciation he was named in 2009 the conductor of honor of the orchestra. In 2005 he accepted the position as creative chief of the camber orchestra Spirit of Europe and oversaw the orchestra until 2008. With the Japanese record label Octavia Records, Martin Sieghart cherishes an intense collaboration, which resulted in the highly respected first recording of the 10th symphony of Gustav Mahler in the version of Mazucca and Samale with the Arnhemer orchestra.
